Valandraud rouge est noté 94-97 : « Unquestionably up with the crème de la crème of the vintage, the 2017 Valandraud boasts a ripe, fabulously sexy bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, black cherries, violets, and loamy earth. About as pleasurable, rounded, and expansive as it gets in the vintage, this full-bodied Saint-Emilion has a stacked mid-palate, sweet tannin, and a great finish. I was able to taste this cuvée on two separate occasions and absolutely loved it both times. »
Valandraud blanc a été noté 93-95 : « The white from Jean-Luc Thunevin doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, and the Sauvignon Blanc-dominated 2017 Valandraud Blanc is just a fabulous wine. Exotic citrus, lime, and pit fruits, as well as a beautiful salinity, all flow to a medium-bodied, concentrated, vibrant white that can be drunk on release or cellared for over a decade. »
Sans oublier notre Clos du Beau Père a eu 91-94 : « The 2017 Le Clos du Beau-Pere pretty much blew me away, as it might be one of the few wines to surpass what was accomplished in 2015. Black cherries, cassis, graphite, licorice, white flowers, and spice all soar from this beauty, which is full-bodied, textured, and layered, with serious intensity and depth. This beauty has its foot planted firmly on the accelerator, yet its style is balanced and seamless. It's a rocking Pomerol! »
